Neighbors represent one signature step

Moving clockwise adds a sharp or removes a flat; moving counterclockwise adds a flat or removes a sharp. The result names both neighbors so modulation distance is visible as a relationship, not memorized as a poster.

Relative minor shares the signature but not the tonal center

The inner minor name reuses the same signature. The page does not claim that matching accidentals alone proves whether a passage is major or minor.

Why are F-sharp and G-flat not both separate buttons?

They are enharmonic major keys sharing sounding pitches; the compact circle chooses one practical label at that position.

What are the listed chords?

They are diatonic triads built on the seven degrees of the selected major scale.

Does adjacency guarantee a good modulation?

No. It shows signature proximity; musical context still determines the effect.
