A pitch monitor is different from a tuner

Why does the trace stop during a breath?
The gap represents silence or a signal below the current noise gate. Keeping that gap prevents the graph from inventing a slide between notes separated by a breath.
Does the page record my singing?
No. It keeps recent pitch measurements in memory for the visible trace and sends no microphone audio to a server.
What does a downward line at the end mean?
It means the detected fundamental fell during that part of the phrase. Repeat the phrase and use your ears alongside the graph before deciding whether the change was intentional.
